On orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, demolition squads of the anti-encroachment departments have been very active and they have spared none once they reach the venue of encroached land or premise.
National Museum of Pakistan was once such venue of encroached land within the Museum where contractors have in connivance with the insiders set up a restaurant and a canteen.
Though these two food vending outlets served the people and the staffers and officers of the Museum but the fact was that both the sites were unlawful and declared as encroached and hence the apex court had issued notices to the authorities concerned and thus the authorities concerned such as the Anti-Encroachment Department of the Karachi metropolitan Corporation (KMC) had briskly moved and demolished the sites.
The demolishers of the Anti-Encroachment Department have also confiscated the stuffs and material of the restaurant and the canteen except those that were installed such as air conditioners, etc.
