Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Syed Qassim Naveed Qamar has directed all heads of Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers across the province to celebrate Universal Children Day and International Day for Persons with Disabilities in letter and spirit in order to highlight the rights and issues of children and special persons as well.
While presiding over a meeting in this regard on Sunday, Qasim Naveed Qamar said, “We all should promote international togetherness and awareness among children worldwide and we should also focus on improving children’s welfare.”
He said that it was our prime duty to fully realize the rights of the persons with disabilities and all stakeholders, working for the same cause, are needed to work as a team to achieve the targets, the welfare of the special persons so that they might live an independent and better life.
It is to be noted that Universal Children Day is observed on 20th November and International Day for Persons with Disabilities is celebrated on 3rd December each year.
Qassim Naveed Qamar asked the concerned officers to chalk out a comprehensive plan in this regard because Sindh government is fully committed to bring a positive change in the lives of special children and persons.
