UNDP assures aid for Sindh flood rehabilitation, CM reaffirms efforts

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah convened a crucial meeting with Ms. KanniWignaraja, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and her team at the Chief Minister House in Karachi. Minister for Planning and Development Syed NasirHussain Shah, Chief Secretary Agha Waqar, and Chairman Planning and Development Najm Shah also participated in the discussions, focusing on various developmental projects in the province. Key issues included ongoing efforts to rehabilitate flood-affected communities, educational initiatives targeting youth, and employment programs.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the UNDP’s organization of the “Strong Sindh: From Promises to Reconstruction” conference, highlighting the government’s unwavering dedication to reconstructing homes for flood victims. Ms. KanniWignaraja, reiterating the UNDP’s commitment, assured the Chief Minister of their support in rehabilitating flood-affected areas. This reaffirms their collaborative partnership with the Sindh government in this crucial endeavor.
