UHE marks I-Day with fervour

The University of Home Economics (UHE) organised various functions to celebrate Independence Day in letter and spirit.

UHE VC Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen was the chief guest while Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz, MPA Musarat Jamshed Cheema, Special Secretary Higher Education Naeem Ghouas, Director Women Development Sajeela Naveed and President Pakistan Home Economics Association Miss Durdana were the guests of honour.

UHE Registrar Ms Rozina Sadiq, Assistant Commissioner Model Town Ibrahem Alamgir, all faculty members and students were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the participants on the occasion, Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen, DC Mudassar Riaz and Musarat Jamshed Cheema vowed that no effort will be spare for development of the country.

They stressed that unity should be forged among rank and file at all level to foil evil designs of the enemies

On the other hand, in connection with Independence Day celebrations and 70 years of remarkable friendship with China, various events have been organized at the University of Home Economics.

The events included posters competition, debates, national songs competition along with nursery and special childrens’ performances to expressed love and affection for the beloved motherland.
