ABU DHABI – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has emerged as a one of the leading tourist destinations and economic hub for its captivating activities for travellers and business friendly policies.
The Gulf country has released an updated list of countries whose citizens are required to obtain a visa prior to entering the country.
The list, which includes 107 nations from across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, highlights the UAE’s ongoing efforts to manage immigration procedures while maintaining strong international relations and ensuring security and efficiency at its borders.
According to the official list, citizens from countries including Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, and the Philippines must apply for a visa before traveling to the UAE.
The requirement extends to several nations across different regions, reflecting the UAE’s structured approach to regulating inbound travel.
The updated list features a wide range of nations, such as Ethiopia, Kenya, Ghana, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Turkey, among others. The UAE has also included countries from Latin America and the Caribbean, such as Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Trinidad and Tobago, as well as island nations like Palau, Samoa, and Tuvalu.

UAE Visa Ban 2025 Update
The UAE has imposed a ban on tourist and work visa for citizens of nine countries which include Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Cameroon, Liberia, the Republic of Benin, Congo, and Burundi.
