UAE embassy holds event to highlight Dubai Expo 2020

Exactly 365 days from now, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday organized an event to introduce and countdown the upcoming Expo 2020 Dubai.
The event attended by the ambassadors and diplomats of the Arab and other countries was hosted by the UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi.
In his welcome remarks, the UAE ambassador said in 2020, one year from now, Dubai will be hosting the first World Expo with approximately 25 million visitors expected to attend.
The event is going to be the first-ever the biggest expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa or South Asia, he said.
He thanked the guests for attending the event and to witness the launch of the Dubai Expo 2020.
The theme of the mega event is going to be “Connecting Minds and Making the Future” will commence on October 20, 2020 and will last for six months with the active participation of 192 countries.
Expo 2020 coinciding with the UAE’s 50th anniversary in 2021 will act as a “global six-month celebration of creativity, innovation, humanity and world cultures” he said.
He also spoke about the UAE leadership’s vision to improve the future of the country and the region as a whole by providing an opportunity for the Middle East and South Asian countries such as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to make its mark in the future by exchange of ideas and experiences, job creation and new business opportunities through Expo 2020.
