Faisal Malik thanks UAE leadership for de-escalation efforts in recent Pak-India conflict
Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, Mr Faisal Zahid Malik has expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for making de-escalation efforts during the recent India-Pakistan military conflict.
It is because of the countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia and
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been instrumental in restoring normalcy to the region which is home to more than 1.5 billion people, said Mr Faisal Malik.
He expressed these views in a call-on meeting with UAE Consul General, Karachi, Dr Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi at his office.
Assistant Editor of Pakistan Observer, Mr Ebraheem Malik also accompanied Mr Faisal Zahid Malik on the occasion.
UAE Consul General Dr Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi welcoming Mr Faisal Zahid Malik and Mr Ebraheem Malik re-emphasized the historic bond of friendship between the UAE and Pakistan.
The UAE leadership and the people regard Pakistanis as their brothers and sisters and both the countries have always stood by each other at the times of joy and stress.
The UAE CG also noted that ceasefire agreed upon by both Pakistan and India demonstrated how important peace is for the two nations and for the progress and prosperity of the people of both countries.
Dr Bakheet also condemned the recent heinous attack on the school children bus in Khuzdar that claimed lives of six students, the bus driver and the helper.
He prayed for the blessing of the departed souls and early recovery of those injured in the terrorist attack.
He underscored the need for cultural exchange and cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan in diverse sectors.
He said, the UAE President has also pledged to invest more than US$10 billion in Pakistan’s economy including renewable energy, fintech and agro-industries.
The UAE’s international free zone authority also plans to investment in multiple projects in Pakistan’s existing Special Economic Zones.
Mr Faisal Malik thanked the UAE CG for the huge contribution in Pakistan’s industry and energy sectors saying it would contribute to the overall prosperity of the country.
He informed the UAE CG that Pakistan Observer has always upheld and promoted unity in the Ummah through its articles, editorials and reports.
It is our editorial policy to promote and strengthen the bond of friendship among the Muslim countries, said Mr Faisal Malik.
He also suggested exchange of visits of the media houses of both the UAE and Pakistan and sharing of expertise by the both.
This will serve to bring both the countries closer together, he said.
The UAE Consul General agreed with Mr Faisal Malik regarding media cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan.
He also praised Pakistan Observer for promoting the UAE-Pakistan bond of friendship.
At the end of the meeting, the UAE Conusl General presented shields to Mr Faisal Zahid Malik and Mr Ebraheem Faisal Malik separately and thanked them for visiting.
