KOT ADDU — In a heartwarming cross-cultural development, two foreign women from Bulgaria and Japan have traveled to Pakistan’s Sananwan area of Kot Addu to marry two local men after embracing Islam.
Reports said both women converted to Islam and solemnized their Nikah ceremonies at Jamia Anwar-ul-Islam Madrassa in Kot Addu.
The Bulgarian woman, Stefanova, accepted Islam and adopted the name Maryam after marrying Adnan Gormani. Meanwhile, the Japanese woman, Ishimoto Aki, embraced Islam under the name Dua Fatima and tied the knot with Shoaib Gashkori.
Following their religious marriages, both women returned to their respective home countries to complete necessary legal documentation required for formal registration of their marriages in Pakistan.
A lawyer representing both couples confirmed that once the documents are finalized, the marriages will be officially registered under Pakistani law.
The unique unions have drawn attention in the local community, highlighting stories of faith, love, and cultural connection that transcend borders.
