Four persons including two women died eight others sustained injuries three different incidents occurred separately on Sunday.
A female patient died and two others injured when ceiling of a Hafizabad hospital caved in on Sunday.
According to sources, the hospital administration attempted to downplay the incident. They informed that a number of patients were being treated in the ward at the time of the incident.
Luckily, only a female patient died and two other sustained injuries. The incident occurred when dilapidated ceiling of a ward at the hospital came down.
In another incident, a bus of the Education Board that was going from Toba Tek Singh to Lahore rammed into two motorcyclists on Samundri Road near Sabzi Mandi.
As a result, two persons died on the spot.
However, the bus driver fled the scene. The Saddr Police shifted the bodies to a hospital for medico-legal formalities and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a woman died and five other persons sustained injuries when a speeding truck hit a rickshaw in Jhang on Sunday.
The police and Rescue 1122 officials informed that a recklessly driven truck rammed into a qingqi rickshaw on Toba-Jhang Road.
Resultantly, a woman died on the spot while five other passengers sustained injuries. The truck driver managed to flee the scene after the accident.
Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene and shifted the dead body and injured to hospital. The police impounded the truck and registered a case against the runaway driver.
