Two Pakistani troops martyred in exchange of fire with terrorists in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT – Two soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred during an exchange of fire with militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, the military’s media wing said.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said two soldiers embraced martyrdom after a gun battles with militants in KP’s Lakki Marwat.

ISPR said soldiers martyred after an intense exchange of gun battle between troops and terrorists.

Both brave sons of soil Sepoy Muhammad Afzal and Sepoy Ibrar Hussain fought gallantly and embraced martyrdom.

Forces recovered weapon and ammunition from the dead militants, who remained actively involved in various terrorist activities in the area, it said.

It further said sanitisation of the surrounding areas is being carried out to neutralise any terrorists found in the area.

Pakistani forces are determined to eliminate menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve, Pakistan Army said.

KP remained among worst affected region in fresh wave of terrorism. Lately, 4 people including three cops were martyred after insurgents stormed security checkpost in Kohat. The attack was followed by gunfight that lasted for hours and terrorists were forced to flee.
