Two murderers sentenced to death in Attock

Two sentenced to death in two different murder cases in Attock on Friday, Police spokesman said.

In the first incident, an additional session judge Qmmar Uz Zaman in Pindigheb town of Attock on Friday sentenced a convict to death for murdering a married woman over domestic feud in the limits of Pindigheb Police station on November 4, 2022. The judge also imposed fine over convict as damages.

According to the FIR registered under section 302 and 34 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) at Pindigheb Police station, the accused Iftikhar Ahmed had shot dead wife of Muhammad Ashraf in Akhlas area.

The suspect went underground after committing the cold blood murder and subsequently he was declared a proclaimed offender (PO) by the court. Later Police arrested the suspect after raiding at his hideout. Later during the trail, the prosecution produced substantial evidence against the accused which established involvement of Mr Ahmed in the cold blood murder of the married woman and subsequently sent the convict to gallows. The convict was also ordered to pay Rs 0.4 million as damages.

Moreover, additional session judge Attock Muhammad Zaffar Iqbal sentenced a convict to death for killing a woman in Sarwala area in the City police area in the year 2017.
