Two key commanders of defunct Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan were killed in a search operation by security forces in South Waziristan district on Sunday.
The intelligence-based search operation was carried out by Pakistani Army soldiers at Nashpa village of Janata area in Sararogha sector of the South Waziristan district.
The slain TTP commanders were belonged to the Mehsud Group and were identified as Maulvi Mahboob Rahman, son of Gul Zaman and resident of Shakta Tehsil Ladha, and Mir Salam alias Ans, son of Mir Baz and resident of Sarkhoni village in Shakta Tehsil Ladha.
The latest operation came on the heels of Saturday’s action in which the security forces Saturday killed eight terrorists in two different intelligence-based operations conducted in North Waziristan.
