District health teams are sampling from shops, malls, markets and crowded areas in order to keep a check on the Corona patterns, said District Health Officer, Dr Zaeem Zia.
The district administration closed down two cattle markets set up illegally in Saddar area and another in the rural sub-division.
The district administration has allowed three markets to operate in Siraye Kharbuza Tarnol, Taramri Chowk Tarlai and main bazaar in Rawat on the condition the market organizers would strictly follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cattle markets to contain the spread of Covid-19 and Congo virus.
In order to prevent the spread of Congo virus, the government has issued SOPs and guidelines and has forbidden any other cattle market like previous years, said an official of the district administration while talking to Pakistan Observer.
The animals have been removed from there and the makeshift markets were cleared from these places, the official further said.
Islamabad on Saturday reported 14,821 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 162 deaths which means in the last 24 hours, 55 new cases were registered while it turned out to be the fourth consecutive day without a single death.
