Consul General of Turkey Tulga Ucak called on Governor Sindh Ismail at Governor House on Monday. The Governor expressed deep sense of grief over loss of life and property in recent earthquake in Izmir, Turkey. He said that every Pakistani was with their Turkish brethren in this time of sorrow. The Governor Sindh said that PM Imran Khan attaches top priority to the bilateral relations as both countries have brotherly cordial relations which are based on mutual trust and respect. He said that Prime Minister’s policy to tackle COVID-19 pandemic was lauded by world leaders and institutions as it carried a delicate balance between steps to control Coronavirus and letting the economy to grow. He lauded the support and cooperation of Turkey in development of social sector in the province. During floods and other natural calamities Turkey has always taken lead in rescue and relief work in the province, he observed. While highlighting the investment opportunities in economic hub of Pakistan, Governor Sindh said that the strategic location and facilities available in Karachi make it an ideal place for investment. Investors are being provided every possible help, assistant and security for setting up their industrial units. Consul General Turkey thanked Governor Sindh for his concern for victims of Izmir earthquake and said that people of Turkey were very much pleased with the progress of Pakistan, in various sectors.
