KARACHI – The naval forces of Türkiye and Pakistan held Turgutreis-9 exercise in the Eastern Mediterranean to enhance operational readiness and foster cooperation.

The purpose of the exercise was to further enhance the interoperability and joint operations capability between the two navies.

Last month, Pakis Navy ship PNS ASLAT visited Oman during Regional Maritime Security Patrol. The Pakistan Navy ship was given a warm welcome by the host naval authorities on its arrival at the port of Salalah in Oman.

The ship’s commanding officer discussed issues of mutual interest during meetings with Omani military officials.

At the end of the visit, the forces of both countries participated in a joint naval exercise.

The purpose of these exercises is to promote mutual cooperation between naval forces, prevent illegal activities at sea, and establish regional peace and stability.
