Tree plantation campaign launched in Sindh

On the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail launched a tree planting campaign in the province. Along with members of Assembly and Tiger Force, Governor Sindh planted trees in Kidney Hill under the tree planting campaign.
Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar was also present on the occasion. Talking to media, the Governor said that a tree planting campaign has been launched in the province on the direction of the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Tiger Force Day was celebrated today in which a tree planting campaign has been launched.
He further said that in the past the parks were cut off and plazas were built. He said that such cuttings would not be allowed. He said that one plant is equal to one life. Planting trees will provide oxygen and recreational opportunities. Governor Sindh said that tree planting is very important to stay safe from climate change and its effects. And plants are being planted with the Tiger Force.
He said that the Prime Minister is fully aware of the impact of climate change on Pakistan. The Prime Minister is committed to planting 10 billion trees in five years. It is very important to provide awareness to the people in this regard. The common man will not be involved in this campaign.
The usefulness of the tree planting campaign cannot be highlighted. He said that the spirit shown by the Tiger Force against Corona in this campaign is also expected from them. The spirit of the people who took part in the tree planting campaign is proud. Under this we have to make our country green and prosperous.
Replying to a question, he said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan is scheduled to visit Karachi on September 12, on which occasion I would request him to visit the park.
He said that the efforts of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Saif-ur-Rehman in restoring this park are commendable while Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar also deserves congratulations for it. Replying to a question regarding the sanitation situation in Karachi, he said that it was heartbreaking to see the condition of Karachi but the Prime Minister of Pakistan was determined to change the situation.
He said that if the three major drains of the city had not been cleaned under NDMA and FWO, the situation in the city would have deteriorated in two days of rains. Asked about the expiration of the term of local body representatives and the appointment of administrators, he said that such administrators should be appointed throughout the province who have no political affiliation and should remain neutral and serve the people.
? Later, the Governor of Sindh visited Lake Park and planted trees there along with members of the Tiger Force and members of the Provincial Assembly.
