Transport services export fetches $291m in 5 months

The transport services by Pakistan in other countries have witnessed a growth of 11.95 percent during the first five months of financial year (2021-22) as compared to the corresponding period of last year.

According to data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Pakistan earned $291.003 million by providing different transport services in various countries as compared to $259.950 million earned during the corresponding period of fiscal year (2020-21).

During the period under review, the exports of sea transport services witnessed an increase of 18.64 percent, by going up from $35.250 million last year to $41.810 million during the period under review.—TLTP
