The second Traditional Sports and Games Educational Course 2020 held under the auspices of Pakistan Traditional Sports and Games Association concluded at Kalam, Swat.
The course provided detailed lectures on various traditional sports like wrestling, kabaddi, mass wrestling, equestrian, javelin throwing and intellectual games.
Junaid Ijaz on mass wrestling, Majid Farid and Shahzeb Nawaz on wrestling, Arsalan Ahmed and Shamail Khan on intellectual games gave lectures.
Pakistan Sports Board Director Nasrullah Rana, eminent physical fitness expert Abid Amin and Chief Consultant of Punjab Sports Board Shahid Faqir Virk gave special research lectures on traditional sports. Course Coordinator Sardar Mahmood while discussing the usefulness of modern courses said that different sports will help athletes improve their fitness and technique.
The participants of the course were also given a written test. The coordinators of the written test were Sarmad Hussain and Adnan Asghar. The chief guest of the closing session of the three-day course was Nawab Furqan, Central President of Pakistan Traditional Sports and Games Association.
He along with Aqeel Javed Butt, senior vice president Punjab mass wrestling association distributed prizes among the participants. Muhammad Nabeel, Assistant Director Sports, Punjab University performed the duties of stage secretary in the awards ceremony.
