Armed robbers gunned down a trader and injured another upon resistance, while made off with Rs5 million on Wednesday.
According police, two armed robbers, riding a motorcycle, intercepted a car carrying two traders returning after withdrawal of cash from a local bank on Sahiwal Road in Pakpattan.
The traders offered resistance after which robbers opened straight fire, killing one trader identified as Rashid and injured another Nasir. The culprits also snatched Rs5 million from them and fled the scene.
The body and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities and police registered a case into the incident.
