Trade delegation from Fan Sector to visit Vietnam

Engineering Development Board, Ministry of Industries & Production organized trade delegation visit to Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnam from 18th-25th December, 2019 comprising 9-member from domestic electrical fan sector.
The prime objective of delegation visit was to hold B2B meetings with counterparts and to explore opportunities to enhance exports.
It has been reported that delegates held productive meetings with different companies including M/s Co. Phat Mechanical Manufacturing Company (Cophaco) which is one of the prominent manufacturers of electric fans in Vietnam.
The company is exporting to USA, Thailand and Korea. They intend to import light fans from Pakistan to supply in Vietnam with increasing demand of luxury light fans in resorts, hotels and spas, according to Pakistan Electric Fan Manufacturers Association (PEFMA). Further, added that the trade delegation also visited M/s Caribean Motor Manufacturing Factory.
Moreover, the Pakistan’s delegation also held meeting with Mr. Luu Tri, Director General Nghe Nang Industrial Co. Ltd and visited industrial fan manufacturing factory of Nghe Nang Co. Ltd (IFAN) in Vietnam.
The trade delegation also visited “Vietbuild-29 Industrial Exhibition” held in Ho Chi Minh City related to white goods to explore possibilities of exporting fans to Vietnam.
The sources informed that the delegates are optimistic for Pakistan’s Fan Industry that they would penetrate in the Vietnam market and enhance exports volume as the businessmen of Vietnam have shown keen interest for import of Pakistani fans.
The delegates held B2B meetings with other relevant stakeholders and highlighted Pakistan’s engineering capabilities and capacities.
It is pertinent to mention that Engineering Development Board had formulated this trade delegation in first place from domestic fan industry to visit Vietnam in its efforts to enhance export of value added products from Pakistan.
This initiative is expected to act as a driving force for a sizeable growth in engineering goods exports potential of the country and more such delegations in other sector shall be organized by EDB to give boost to the export of value added engineering products.
