TPL Life signs with Hello Doctor to expand its app-based telehealth platform

TPL Life, Pakistan’s fastest-growing insurtech, signed a ‘memorandum of association’ with Hello Doctor, a subsidiary of the Rehability UK group. The partnership aims to establish convenient bridges of communication and access between doctors and patients via the TPL Life app.

The MoU was signed at a ceremony held at the TPL Life office in Karachi to commemorate the partnership aimed at integrating Hello Doctor’s telehealth solution into app-based – TPL Life’s telehealth platform. This facility will be offered to TPL Life’s customers to make health consultation easier, swift, and accessible through an enhanced customer experience.

Hello, Doctor will provide audio and video consultations with general practitioners & specialists via app-based – TPL Life’s telehealth platform. Also, lifestyle improvement features such as videos by doctors, nutritionists, fitness trainers, beauticians, and chefs will facilitate the users in learning effective ways to keep themselves and their families fit and healthy.

On occasion, Mr Saad Nissar, chief executive officer of TPL Life, said, “We, as a torchbearer for life and health insurance innovation in Pakistan, are always working towards developing & onboarding state-of-the-art solutions that can either create or increase value for customers. This collaboration between the two entities is another such initiative by TPL Life to continue on its journey for creating and increasing value for our customers.”.

Mr Umair Khalid, Chief Operating Officer of Hello Doctor, said that the need for high quality, international standards, efficient and cost-effective primary and preventive healthcare as a single patient journey on the mobile phone had been Hello Doctor’s aspiration for the past few years.
