Tourism department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa efforts for promotion of tourism yielding positive result, Due to improved infrastructure and tourist facilities, the number of tourists in winter season has increased from last year. The Galyat Development Authority released statistics regarding the arrival of tourists in the winter.
According to Galyat Development Authority last year 1 lakh seven thousand and two hundred tourists entered in Galyat through 26800 vehicles to see snowfall in winter, while 69650 tourist vehicles have entered Galyat since December this year alone. In these vehicles, 258600 tourists visited Galyat and enjoyed the snow winter. Senior Minister for Tourism Atif Khan directed the Galyat Development Authority to provide best facilities to tourists, adding that the authority should ensure the removal of snow from roads through heavy machinery.
