Torrential rain makes weather pleasant

Rain accompanied by strong winds lashed the City and its adjoining areas on Wednesday and turned the weather pleasant.
The Meteorological Department had forecast rain with wind and thunder in different parts of the country including Upper Punjab and Islamabad. According to the Met Office, hot and humid weather will remain in most parts of the country on Wednesday.
However, showers with thundershowers were expected in Upper Punjab, Islamabad, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.
The weather will be hot and humid in most parts of the country on Thursday.
However, showers with thunderstorm are expected in Upper Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Lower Sindh, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
During the last 24 hours, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have received showers with thundershowers while other parts of the country remained hot and dry.
The maximum rainfall was recorded at Gopis 2 mm, Bagroot 1 mm, Dir and Balakot 1 mm.
The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was in Nokandi and Dadu 45 while Dalbandin, Bhakkar and Rahim Yar Khan recorded 44 degrees Celsius.
