LAHORE – Tomato prices increased by Rs5 per kilogram while broiler chicken went down in the local markets on Monday.
The prices of potatoes and onions, however, remained stable.
According to the statistics report, the official price of tomatoes has increased by Rs5 to Rs45 per kilogram, while in the market, tomatoes are being sold at Rs60 to Rs70 per kilogram. The official price of potatoes remained unchanged at Rs75 per kilogram, while in the market, potatoes are being sold at Rs90 per kilogram.
The report also showed that the official price of onions remained at Rs80 per kilogram, whereas in the market, onions are being sold at up to Rs100 per kilogram. The official price of local lemons is set at Rs575 per kilogram, but in the market, they are being sold at Rs800 per kilogram.
Both garlic and ginger are being sold at Rs700 per kilogram.
Besides it, cabbage is being sold at Rs50 per kilogram and cauliflower at Rs120 per kilogram. The price of broiler chicken decreased by Rs10 per kilogram, now selling at Rs428 per kilogram in the market. The price of farm eggs remains stable at Rs262 per dozen.
