Three robbers were injured and held with weapons and looted valuables after exchange of fire with police in the metropolis on Tuesday. According to details, three robbers who wanted to commit robbery near Hassan Square bridge were approached by police.
An exchange of fire took place in which all three robbers were injured and held with arms and looted valuables. The police confiscated the recovered weapons, valuables, shifted the injured robbers to hospital and after registering a case into the incident started an investigation.
The police arrested a cop involved in incidents of kidnapping and collecting extortion from citizens. According to details, accused Babar along with his cohort, both deployed in Tippu Sultan police station used to commit crimes in Saddar areas and they had looted a rickshaw driver last month.
They take off a rickshaw driver near FTF, took him to undisclosed location and received Rs30,000 from him. The police was conducting raids to arrest other accused identified as Usman and the detainee was being investigated.
