At least three people including two youth were killed in separate violent incidents in different localities of Chiniot on Thursday. Police said that culprits strangled to death Ghulam Shabbir s/o Abid over old rivalry near Sem nullah at Jhumra Road and fled the scene.
A 20-year-old youth Usama s/o Akram, a resident of mohallah Puran Palad, committed suicide by hanging him with the ceiling fan over ill-treatment of his beloved.
In Bhaluka area, Muhammadwala police station jurisdiction, culprits Muhammad Tahir and Ghulam Haider stabbed to death a youth Iqbal s/o Ismail over domestic disputes and escaped the scene. The bodies of all incidents were shifted to different hospitals of respective areas and the police after registering separate cases at concerned police stations started raids to arrest the culprits. —INP
