Staff Reporter

The police on Monday claimed to have arrested three dacoits who attempted to loot a medical store.

According to police, the robbers stormed a medical store and resorted to firing when its owner put up resistance. The gunshots alerted the police who reached the spot within no time. During the firing, one of the dacoits sustained a gunshot wound while his accomplices managed to flee the scene. The police, however, launched a search in the area to nab the runaway dacoits.

The police managed to round up both the dacoits in injured condition after a brief shootout. Later, the injured dacoits were shifted to hospital for medical treatment under security. The police said that two dacoits were identified as Qaisar and Junaid while identity of the third one could not be ascertained yet.

The police have launched further investigation.
