Three consecutive holidays for schools in Rawalpindi, Islamabad [Oct 3-6]

ISLAMABAD – Schools and colleges will enjoy three consecutive holidays in twin cities – Rawalpindi and Islamabad – starting from October 4 to October 6.

The city administration in the neighbouring cities have announced a holiday for schools and other educational institutions on Friday (October 3) in wake of the protest announced by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the proposed constitutional amendments.

To stop the protesters from gathering at the D-chowk, authorities have closed various intersections, roads and places, causing massive traffic jams on different roads.

Following roads have been closed for traffic by placing containers:

Red Zone in Islamabad is completely sealed

Faizabad,

Sector I-8,

IJ Principal Road,

Margalla Road

Murree Road

Islamabad Expressway

Sangjani

Sector G-11 Chowk

Golra Mor

26 Number Chowki

Keeping in view the situation, private schools association also announced closer of the educational institutions today, Friday.

Three Holidays for Schools in Rawalpindi and Islamabad

As there is an official holiday in schools on Friday, October 3, it will be followed by two weekly holidays as schools are closed on Saturdays and Sundays every week in Punjab.

It means schools will reopen on October 7 (Monday) after three consecutive holidays.
