China’s integrated suite of policies, plans and projects, under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping, has already delivered economic miracles. These initiatives are meticu-lously designed to realize the optimal goals of economic globalization, international cooperation, multiculturalism, a rules-based international order and a fair trading system. This profound vision continually inspires the world and, through my articles, commentaries and video interviews across national and international media platforms, I strive to illuminate the true essence of China’s economic rise: its wise diplomatic engagement, constructive neutrality, unparalleled political stability and social harmony.
The ongoing US-Iran war in the Middle East and the Gulf has vividly exposed the declining influence of imperialistic designs and the crumbling hegemonic equations of Western powers. In stark contrast, the President’s vision of shared global prosperity, along with his Global Initiatives on Development, Security, Civilization and Governance, works in concert to secure and maintain a stable world order. These frameworks effectively counter the prevailing global disorder fueled by economic protectionism, decoupling, delinking and misguided notions of overcapacity.
Ongoing trade wars, tariffs, disregard for international law and growing geopolitical fragmentation have severely undermined the global economic and trading system. These developments have disrupted supply chains, destabilized industrial ecosystems and intensified uncertainty in international financial, stock and commodity markets, particularly amid the Middle East conflict and rising energy prices. In this challenging environment, China’s geopolitical and geostrategic wisdom has emerged as a stabilizing force. Through its consistent policies and long-term planning, China is steadily reducing global uncertainty while promoting stability, sustainability, resilient supply chains, balanced economic growth and greater certainty in international trade and development.
Since 2000, China has pursued a comprehensive green energy transformation through successive Five-Year Plans, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and expanding solar, wind, green hydrogen, modular nuclear power, lithium battery technology and electric vehicles. Supported by an energy policy focused on diversification, integration, efficiency and price stability, China has strengthened its energy security and generation capacity. Consequently, despite the US-Iran conflict and the Strait of Hormuz blockade, China has maintained stable energy supplies and prices, effectively shielding its economy and citizens from major external disruptions.
China has also successfully integrated its national energy markets into a harmonious and cohesive system that underpins its manufacturing capacity, economic productivity, export strength and social development while facilitating the immense growth of the country’s new economic drivers. Ultimately, it is the rationality of China’s energy policies, plans and pro-jects, combined with the sustained success of its Five-Year Plans since 1978, the extraordi-nary rise of its renewable energy sector and the unprecedented pace of electrification, that has enabled the country to effectively mitigate the energy crisis triggered by the Middle East war.
President Xi’s Global Security Initiative (GSI) serves as the vital missing link in the international order for maintaining peace, stability and harmony. It is a noble concept, instrumental in achieving both regional and international order by avoiding military misadventures, rejecting economic protectionism, protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other nations and amplifying the voice of the Global South and developing countries within the international power system. The Global Security Initiative (GSI) has played a significant role in reducing regional and global tensions arising from intensified geopolitics. Its notable achievements include facilitating reconciliation between Iran and Saudi Arabia, promoting Palestinian unity through the Beijing Declaration, supporting normalization efforts in Myanmar and mediating between Cambodia and Thailand during renewed border tensions. China has also supported Bangladesh, the Maldives and other nations in safeguarding their sovereignty and territorial integrity. Most recently, the China-Pakistan Five-Point Peace Plan aimed at securing a truce between the US and Iran further reflects China’s diplomatic wisdom, constructive neutrality and commitment to regional and global peace and stability.
Clearly, China’s economic stability, sustainability and future prospects, alongside its pro-found social development, herald a promising future. This progress is transforming local economies, communities and enterprises across the country, the region and the global stage through visionary projects such as the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the Digital Silk Road, the Green BRI and the Global Development Initiative. These endeavors convey a powerful message of hope, certainty, shared prosperity and international cooperation.
Since its inception, China has consistently demonstrated remarkable resilience and vitality, underpinned by a solid foundation, strategic clarity and a proven ability to navigate complex global challenges. Its focus on high-quality growth, innovation-driven development and common prosperity ensures long-term sustainable progress, positioning the country as a true economic champion for both the world and the Global South.
In summary, a stable and prosperous China is of immense significance to the world and its people. Economically, as the world’s second-largest economy and a major engine of global growth, China contributes substantially to international trade, investment and supply chain stability. Socially, China’s stability offers a model of effective governance and large-scale poverty alleviation while projecting values of ethnic diversity, multiculturalism and respect for humanity at large. Politically, as a responsible major country, China actively promotes multilateralism, global peace and cooperative solutions to international conflicts, from cli-mate change to public health. Thus, China’s stability is not merely a domestic achievement; it is a global public good.
