Faisal Malik congratulates CG Surashete Boontinand
The Royal Thai Consulate General in Karachi hosted a grand reception at a local hotel to honor Thailand’s National Day, the Birthday Anniversary of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, and Thailand’s Father’s Day.
The event, presided over by Surashete Boontinand, Consul General of Thailand, saw the participation of prominent figures including Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Minister of Culture; Arif Suleiman, Chairman of PTF&B; Faisal Zahid Malik, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer; Consul General of Iran, Tariq Mustafa, Advisor to the Governor of Sindh; Irfan Soomro, DG Foreign Affairs; Zaid Tessori, son of the Governor of Sindh; Akhtar Tessori and other esteemed guests.
Consul General Boontinand highlighted the significance of the occasion and the enduring relationship between Thailand and Pakistan. Inviting attendees to join in the celebrations, he shared his reflections on serving in Pakistan, describing the country as his “second home.
” CG recalled his deep sorrow upon learning of King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s passing, a moment that brought him to tears. Boontinand spoke of the late King’s extraordinary dedication, stating that King Bhumibol’s tireless efforts for the welfare of the Thai people earned him their unwavering love and respect. On the occasion, Faisal Zahid Malik, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, congratulated the Consul General of Thailand on the country’s National Day and conveyed his best wishes. He affirmed the commitment to strengthening diplomatic and trade relations between Pakistan and Thailand. The gathering underscored the shared respect and friendship between Pakistan and Thailand, celebrated the cultural ties that unite the two nations and their people.
