TEVTA, ‘The 66 Scholarship Foundation’ sign MoU

TEVTA bags 200 scholarships for its 3 year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) and 2 years G-II Certificate CourseStudents with assistance of ‘The 66 Scholarship Foundation’ for the year 2019-20.
An MoU to this effect was signed by Chairperson TEVTA Ali Salman Siddique and CEO ‘66 Scholarship Foundation’ Mr. NaveedAfraz, here Tuesday, during a simple ceremony at the TEVTA Secretariat which was also attended by concerned TEVTA officers and Col. Qamar Bashir of ‘66 Scholarship Foundation’, amongst others concerned.
Under the program, scholarships awarded to 200 deserving and needy students will cost about Rs. 2 Million during the current Financial Yearwhile the duration of MoUfor scholarships is five years.
Addressing the ceremony, Ali Salman Siddique said that TEVTA is being remodeled along a new vision which calls for quality education, demand driven courses catering to the requirement of industries and placement of TEVTA trained skilled force upon completion of their training. Scholarships for needy students would help encouraging students with meager resources, Chairperson TEVTA said.
CEO ‘66 Scholarship Foundation’NaveedAfraz said that TEVTA was the biggest network of the province for provision of Technical and Vocational Education and he believed that award of scholarships to TEVTA students would enable them to contribute towards their country after completion of their studies. The meeting ended with a word of thanksby Chairperson TEVTA and presentation of souvenirs to the guests.
