At least seven people died and another injured when an over speeding passenger coach hit a pickup here on Sunday.
Levies sources said a reckless driven Karachi bound passenger coach hit a pickup at Chaman Highway in Jungle Piralizai area of district Qilla Abdullah.
Seven people died on the spot in the accident while another was critically injured. The bodies and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities. The passenger coach was impounded and investigation was underway after registering a case against the driver.
In Gujranwala, at least three people died when a container overturned on a car while taking U-turn here on Sunday. According to details, while taking U-turn near Kangniwala area of Gujranwala, a loaded container turned turtle on a car. The car was completely wrecked in the accident resulting in death of all the three motorists on the spot. The bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem and the police after registering a case against the driver of container have started an investigation.—INP
