Ten day sports festival concludes Kamran Khamiso Khowaja

The concluding ceremony of ten-day sports festival jointly sponsored by petroleum social welfare and District administration took place at irrigation department ground in Sujawal on Sunday evening.

Addressing the colourful ceremony that was attended by people from different segments of life including a large number of woman Chairman Petroleum Welfare PPP MNA Syed Ayaz Shah Shirazi said that Such events were essential to keep the youth away from evil habits adding that stadiums were under construction in four talukas of District Sujawal to pave the way for bright and healthy future of our youth.

“ We are providing sports material to students to unleash their sports activities “.: He mentioned.

District Commissioner Thatta Irfan Salam revealed that around 560 players from different parts of the district took part in different sports activities and added that considerable participation of girls in the event from such an underprivileged area was encouraging for them.

He urged parents to encourage their daughters for acquiring quality education and taking part in sports. “ Though Sujawal is an underprivileged area but the youth of this area has exceptional potential”: DC Contended and vowed to organise such events in the future.

The hallmark of the event was beaming demonstration of Ismaili Pipe Band and Dance performance of the students of different private and public sector students on national songs apropos to Pakistan Day.

Prize and medals were bestowed upon the players stood successful in different sports competition.

Towards the end renowned Sindhi comedian Asghar Khoso, vocalists and musicians entertained the audience. The musical show that followed the concluding ceremony continued late in the night.
