Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry (FBATI), representing a key industrial zone in Karachi, has elected its leadership for the upcoming two-year term. Renowned businessman and CEO of United King, Sheikh Muhammad Tehseen, has been chosen as the President for the 2024-2026 period. Alongside him, CEO of Zahra Industries, Abdullah Abid, has been elected as Senior Vice President, and Director of Premier Cables, MuzammilShoaib, will serve as Vice President. FBATI, one of Karachi’s seven industrial zones, oversees nearly 1,800 large, medium, and small industrial units.

The organization plays a pivotal role in advocating for the business community’s needs, tackling challenges like infrastructure, rising business costs, and high-interest rates. The newly-elected President Sheikh Muhammad Tehseen expressed his deep appreciation for the trust placed in him by the business community. He emphasized his commitment to addressing the pressing issues facing the industrial sector.

Tehseen highlighted the importance of reviving industrial activities for the country’s sustainable economic growth, stressing that this goal is only achievable by creating a supportive environment for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). FBATI’s new leadership aims to bring positive change, ensuring that the business climate improves for all industries in the region.
