The seventh International Exhibition of Transportation, Logistics, and Related Industries was opened at Imam Khomeini Grand Prayer Campus (Mosalla) on Monday, IRNA reported.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by senior officials including Transport and Urban Development Minister Mehrdad Bazrpash.
During this three-day exhibition, in addition to the companies active in all transportation sectors, including air, sea, road and rail, over 85 knowledge-based companies and startups along with several foreign exhibitors are showcasing the latest achievements and services in the transportation industry.
Unveiling of at least 22 products from different companies as well as road construction machines and holding training workshops by associations and trade unions are some of the programs that are scheduled to be held on the sidelines of this exhibition.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Bazrpash said the transit through Iran has increased by 33 percent over the past year.
“Completion and expansion of transportation routes has been on the agenda in the last year, and in this regard unprecedented projects have been put into operation,” the minister said.

“In the seventh National Development Plan, transit will have a higher share and a greater role. Also, the construction of logistics centers in the country, which were abandoned in the past, is included in the seventh development plan and is currently being reviewed by the Expediency Council and the Guardian Council,” Bazrpash said.—Tehran Times
