Team Eighteen lift grand Ibex football cup

Team Eighteen defeated Young Stars Football Club in a scintillating performance to lift the 3rd edition of Grand Ibex Cup 2019.
As many as 32 teams from across Pakistan competed for the title played at Zaraaj football ground that provided an excellent opportunity to the budding players to showcase their talents. The competition aims at promoting the most popular sport of the world in Pakistan.
Team Eighteen fully dominated the final contest and never let Young Stars to stage a come back in both halves of the game. They scored two goals in the first half. Another goal was scored by Team Eighteen in the second half to fully seal the fate fo Young Stars and won the final by 3-0. Director General NLC Maj Gen Muhammad Asim Iqbal was the chief guest at the final match.
The winning team was given Rs. 100,000 cash prize, trophy and medals while runners up received Rs. 50,000 cash prize and medals. Nofil was declared player of the tournament whereas Abdullah Shakeel was named as best footballer of the tournament.
