In an extensive operation against unregistered and tax-evading vehicles across the province, the Excise Department has collected a staggering Rs 7.532 million in taxes within just four days. A total of 10,000 vehicles were checked throughout the province during the operation. Among these, 359 vehicles were impounded, and documents of 912 vehicles were confiscated.
According to SharjeelInamMemon, approximately Rs 4.064 million in motor vehicle tax, Rs 2.903 million in withholding tax, and Rs 0.564 million in penalty tax were recovered from unregistered and tax-evading vehicles. Vehicles that complied with tax payment were released, and their documents were returned to them.
Memon praised the efforts and dedication of the excise team, stating that their hard work has yielded significant results.
