US secretary of state Antonio Blenkin has said that the Taliban should bring changes in their approaches and policies if they want recognition of their interim government.
Speaking about his priorities for 2022, Antonio Blenkin said that they are considering a number of approaches to enable injecting more cash into Afghanistan for the economy of the country.
Meanwhile, the US secretary of state acknowledged that the approaches will not allow the Taliban access the cash.
On the other hand, Russia’s foreign minister Sergey Lavrov reiterated the preconditions of the International community for the recognition of the Taliban as being the establishment of inclusive government and implementation of the pledges by IEA in counterterrorism.
The Russian foreign minister said the recognition of the Taliban is now premature and will consensually happen with the international community and will start with the removal of names of the Taliban’s high-profile authorities from the blacklist of UNSC.—AP
