Pakistan Awami Tehreek chairman Tahirul Qadri has rejected PML-N president Nawaz Sharif’s allegation of the London plan levelled against him.
In a startling interview with a private television channel, he denied any meeting with General (retd) Zaheerul Islam or any representative of the establishment during his meeting with the PTI founder.
“Someone has passed wrong information to Nawaz Sharif. In London, I had separate meetings with the PTI founder and Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi and toppling of the Nawaz Sharif government was not discussed in both meetings,” he clarified.
Tahirul Qadri said that Jahangir Tareen was also present in his meeting with the PTI founder. “There was no representative of the establishment in the meeting with the PTI founder. I wanted that my party and the PTI should jointly come out for lodging the protest, but it could not happen,” he added.
He disclosed that the army chief had become the mediator on the request of Nawaz Sharif during the sit-in. “After becoming the mediator, then army chief called the PTI founder and inquired about his reservations. He got the FIR registered of our choice, but we could not get justice so far. During the sit-in, I was not allowed to meet the PTI founder
alone,” he added.
He said that general amnesty and ceasefire are the ways to come out of the present crises. “In Pakistan, the law and the constitution have lost. Each section of the society is at war.
The problem will not be solved through revenge. All political parties should fix their limits as
each one has exceeded its limit,” he added.
