Punjab University and Haier Pakistan (Pvt) Limited on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for providing scholarships to the deserving PU students.
The agreement signing ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood, Director of Marketing Haier Pakistan Humayoun Bashir, Chinese Directors of Sales Ten Weivong, Registrar Dr Ahmad Islam, Director External Linkages Dr Sobia Khuram, Director HR Haier Pakistan Shahid Alvi, Senior Manager Marketing Jamshed Ali and others.
Addressing the participants, VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood thanked Haier Pakistan for the financial assistance to the deserving PU students. He said that Haier Pakistan and PU are cooperating in various fields. He said that universities must provide skilled graduates to the industry.
Humayun Bashir said that Haier would continue to support deserving students to pursue higher education. He said that our institution is trying to promote higher education in Pakistan. He said that the company will help deserving students to advance their careers and expand the scholarship program to other universities.
The Director Marketing Haier said that they are also creating employment opportunities for students and are also providing training facilities to the students of technical institutions.
