In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir representatives of several socio-political organizations held a symbolic protest in Jammu against civilian killings across the territory.
The protest, held under the banner of United Peace Alliance (UPA), was led by its Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, Narender Singh Khajuria, Chairman of Sikh Intellectual, RK Kalsotra, Chairman of Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes Confederation, Kranti Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Shabbir Gania, Advocate Ayaz Mughal, Advocae Hassan Farooqui and Imtiaz.
The participants, speaking on the occasion, said that there was a conspiracy to defame the resistance struggle in Kashmir.
They said those involved in the killings of civilians cannot be well wishers of Kashmiris. They said, this was two way attack against the Kashmiris i.e. they want to destroy the economy of Kashmir and defame the Kashmiris internationally.
During the past over thirty years thousands of people have been killed, they added.Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Mir Shahid Saleem, Narender Singh Khajuria, RK Kalsotra, Kranti Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Shabbir Gania, Advocate Ayaz Mughal, Advocae Hassan Farooqui and Imtiaz.—KMS
