Summer vacations extended in Lahore schools and colleges?

LAHORE – Students in several regions, including Sindh and Balochistan, have gotten extended summer vacation 2024 this year amid extreme weather conditions in parts of country.

Last week, Sindh and Balochitan governments extended summer holiday period for schools and other educational institutions till August 14, with classes now resuming on August 15.

Authorities in Islamabad also followed them as they extended on Sunday the summer vacations in Islamabad schools and colleges till August 4 due to weather conditions.

“Due to the intense hot and humid weather in the district ie Federal Capital, it has been decided to extend summer vacation in ICT schools/colleges till August 4, 2024,” said a notification.

Update on Summer Vacations Extension in Lahore Schools

The Punjab government has already announced summer vacations for schools in Lahore and other cities from June 1 to August 14, 2024. As per existing schedule, the schools are set to reopen on August 15.

Currently, there is no official statement regarding extension in summer holidays for schools in Lahore. The government could review the vacation schedule if there is any uncertainty in weather.
