The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned another figure from the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in a sugar scandal reference, and this time Punjab Minister for Irrigation Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari has been asked to appear at NAB’s Rawalpindi office on May 4.
According tog sources, NAB’s combined investigation team will interrogate the Punjab minister.
Leghari has also been asked to bring with him the record of subsidy given to the sugar sector in 2018-19.
Besides that he had also been directed to give to the Bureau reasons for the permission granted for the export of sugar, the sources disclosed.—INP
