The distrcit administration Mardan Monday swung into action to ensure strict implementation of the lockdown in Mardan.
The Provincial Government, it may be recalled, had imposed complet lockdown in Mardan where the positivity rate of COVID 19 has crossed 40%.
On Monday markets were sealed and 177 people were arrested for violating lockdown. On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Mardan Habibullah Arif, Assistant Commissioner Mardan Saman Abbas, Additional Assistant Commissioner Sehrish Nigar, Muhammad Yar Khan, Tanveer Shehzad, DSP City Inam Jan, Frontier Corps and other agencies coducted raids on different areas, Joint operations are underway in different areas of Mardan city to ensure this.
District officers inspected 50 markets and 904 shops in different parts of the city to enforce the lockdown.
5 markets were sealed and 177 people were arrested for violating the lockdown. Many were also fined heavily.
