Chairman STFL and Hilal-e-Ahmar Pakistan Abrarul Haq said on Saturday that Sahara Trust for Life (STFL) would undertake its next mega welfare project in the city after the completion of cancer hospital in Narowal.
Addressing a fund-raising musical function at a local hotel, he said that Pakistan was included among top countries with high motility rate of cancer patients.
He said that annually around 300,000 people die of cancer and their last stage was very painful particularly in case of malignant cancer.
He said that he had decided to establish a dedicated pain management department in cancer hospital in Narowal which needs heavy investment for the purchase of latest electro-medical appliances.
He also announced to give due representation to the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) in STFL’s Board of Directors (BOD) so that they could ensure transparency in its expenditure in addition to deciding to launch new welfare projects.—APP
