Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar whilst wishing the nation a happy Independence Day has said that the PTI government is taking practical steps to make Pakistan a strong and progressive country as per the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
No impediment will be tolerated in steps taken by the government to provide relief to the public. He was talking to different delegations on Thursday in Governor House.
The Punjab governor said that on Independence Day, we should remember soldiers of Pak army who risk their lives on borders for our protection and safety. He said that we should also remember those people who laid their lives in the struggle of freedom for Pakistan.
He said that those who laid their lives for Pakistan are our real heroes and their sacrifices are a beacon of strength for us. We should remember and pay tribute to all those heroes who gave sacrifices for our dear homeland Pakistan.
He said that on Independence Day we cannot forget Kashmir which is the jugular vein of Pakistan. Our Kashmiri brethren are still facing the Indian atrocities. He said that it is high time that OIC, United Nations and other international organisations should not only raise voice against these atrocities but they should take practical steps to put an end to this oppression by Fascist Modi government.
The governor said that Pakistan is facing huge economic challenges due to Coronavirus Pandemic but under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, PTI government is taking Pakistan forward on all fronts including economy due to transparent and strategic policies.
Our government has successfully saved Pakistan from bankruptcy. He said that for the first time in history, the PTI government is turning Quaid’s vision into reality by ensuring merit and transparency on every level.
Ch Sarwar said that the PTI government has increased the loan budget from 5 million to 250 million through Kamyab Jawan Programme. He said that we have disbursed loans of worth 1 Billion rupees among 2900 young entrepreneurs. We are resolving issues of our youth on a priority basis.
He said that despite Covid-19 Pandemic, Pakistan is improving on the economic front. It is because of effective policies of the PTI government and smart handling of the global pandemic. Construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam will have positive impacts on the economy of Pakistan. Reforms of institutions are part of our mandate, he added.
