Five more corona vaccination centres is being established in Faisalabad to facilitate the public for fast vaccination and tackle the rush, said Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali while briefing State Minister for Information & Broadcasting Mina Farukh Habib on Sunday.
State Minister for Information & Broadcasting Mina Farukh Habib visited Corona Vaccination Centre at Sports Complex Samanabad to review the process.
The DC further informed that more than 48,000 citizens have been vaccinated against Coronavirus in district so far including first and second dozes.
He informed that 17 centres are fully functional in double shifts and all arrangements are being monitored regularly.
The State Minister along with the DC also examined the process of vaccinations to senior citizens and checked whether they are following Corona SOPs. The state minister directed the guide officers to increase convenience for senior citizens.
They also communicated with senior citizens and asked about vaccines from duty doctors until they were satisfied. State Minister directed to facilitate the people and functional fans should be present at centres.
The DC instructed duty staff of civil defence to make sure they guide senior citizen in a proper manner and from taking them when entering the main gate to leaving them to the vehicle after vaccination, they should assist them generously.
He also guided to make sure everyone follows Corona SOPs and maintain cleanliness in vaccination centres.
Health officer told that process of senior citizen vaccinations is being implicated on daily bases in Sports Complex Samanabad, Tehsil headquarters Hospital new building, Sports Complex Jhumra, Tehsil Headquarters Hospital New building Tandlianwala, Sports Complex Jaranwala and Rural Health centre new building Khurianwala.
He added Corona SOPs are being followed in these centres. Assistant Commissioners Umar Maqbool, Syed Ayub Bukhari, CDO Rana M. Abbas and other officers were also present.
