SSGC secures convictions in gas theft cases

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has intensified its efforts against gas theft, securing convictions in several cases across different regions. In a joint operation involving SSGC’s Counter Gas Theft Operation (CGTO) Wing, SSGC Police, and Recovery Department, a raid was conducted on ‘Al-HabibChotaPakwan’ in Shah Faisal Colony, Karachi. The culprit, Bahar-e-Alam, was found using gas directly through a service line, with an estimated total connected load of 620 Cft/hr.

An FIR was lodged against the culprit, and appropriate legal action will be taken. Meanwhile, in the Special Gas Utility Court in Karachi, a post-arrest bail application of the accused Mairujddin was dismissed after the non-payment of a loss amounting to Rs. 3,125,000. The accused, nominated in an FIR lodged at the SSGC Police Station, faced prosecution in the court.
