A special Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) court in Srinagar has rejected the bail application of 10 Kashmiri youth linked with Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and other Hurriyat organizations.
According to Kashmir Media Service, all of them were arrested and booked under black law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The detainees were arrested by Indian police from a restaurant in July this year. Those arrested were identified as Mohammad Yaseen Butt, Mohammad Rafiq Pahloo, Shamsuddin Rehmani, Jahangeer Ahmad Butt, Khurshid Butt, Shabbir Dar, Sajad Hussain Gul, Firdous Shah, Parray Hassan Firdous and Sohail Ahmad Mir.
The arrested includes Mohammad Rafiq Pahloo, who was arrested on the charge of the abduction of Rubaiya Syed, the sister of Mehbooba Mufti and daughter of the then Home Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. The special TADA court in Jammu has cancelled the bail granted to Pahloo.—KMS
