Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said that SoPs being issued by federal government are being fully implemented with regard to prevention from coronavirus.
She was chairing a high-level meeting at CM Office. Advisor Health Hanif Khan Patafi, Mussarat Jamshed Cheema MPA, Secretary Primary & Secondary Healthcare Capt. (R) Muhammad Usman Yunis, Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Barrister Nabeel Ahmed Awan, Additional Secretary Social Sector CM Office Rafaqat Ali, DG Health Services Punjab Dr Haroon Jahangir, Director News Javed Yunis from DGPR, Additional Secretary Technical Dr Salman Shahid, representatives of WHO and other officials attended the meeting.
Dr Yasmin Rashid reviewed the steps being taken for prevention from coronavirus during the meeting. SH&ME Health Barrister Secretary Nabeel Ahmed Awan, P&SH Secretary Muhammad Usman Yunis and other concerned officials also apprised Dr Yasmin Rashid in detail about the steps being taken for preventing from coronavirus.
She said an effective awareness campaign has been initiated in order to inculcate awareness among the masses with regard to adopting preventive steps from coronavirus across the province.
With the grace of Allah Almighty not a single coronavirus case has been reported owing to timely preemptive measures being taken up by the govt. ‘Screening process is going on with regard to coronavirus at four big airports of Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Sialkot of passengers arriving from and departing for China. On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab a high-level meeting is being held on daily basis with regard to coronavirus, she concluded.
